Sales Assistant – Arts, Crafts and Haberdashery Department

We are looking for a mature and committed individual to join our team at Richard Booth’s Bookshop in our popular, ever-expanding Arts, Crafts and Haberdashery Department with the potential for career progression.

As a Sales Assistant, you will often be our customer first point of contact and will be expected to demonstrate a knowledge of Arts and Crafts materials and techniques. If you love creativity as much as we do, you’ll fit in perfectly. We are looking for a positive person with the desire to give outstanding, expert service to our customers.

Availability to work weekends is essential 32-40 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

Good subject knowledge of Arts and Crafts or Haberdashery

Confidence to organise workshops within the bookshop in our craft studio

An enthusiastic and motivated team player who can demonstrate a genuine desire to create and provide first-class customer service

Reliability, excellent attendance and timekeeping

Basic IT skills
